오미라 박사, '한국식품영양과학회 국제심포지엄 및 정기학술대회' 발표
임상시험기획팀 오미라 박사가 2023년도 한국식품영양과학회 국제심포지엄 및 정기학술대회의 연자로 나서 강연을 펼쳤다.
10월 18일부터 20일까지 부산 벡스코에서 `Sustainable Food System for a Healthy & Value-Oriented Life'를 주제로 열린 이번 학술대회는 기조강연, 국제세션, 공동심포지엄, 37개 주제세션, 포스터 및 구두발표, 신진과학자 특별강연 등이 진행됐다.
오미라 박사는 10월 19일 진행된 학회의 29번째 세션에서 'Strategy of clinical trial for functional foods(건강기능식품 인체적용시험 전략)'에 대해 주제발표하고 질의응답 시간을 가졌다.

Randomized clinical trial data are capable of providing strong experimental evidence to establish causal relationships between functional food and health and disease/disease risk. However, the clinical trials for functional foods would appear straightforward, but there are many unique technical issues that will confront the investigator and research team. Therefore, the investigator and research team of the trial should be well aware of each of these difficulties facing them prior to the initiation of the trial in order to ensure the data that are obtained are as valid and valuable as possible.
The Clinical Trial Center for Functional Foods (CTCF2) at Jeonbuk National University hospital was established in 2004 year to asses the health related outcomes of nutraceuticals, natural health products and functional foods. Over the past 19 years, we have conducted about 320 clinical trials and have accumulated know-how on functional food development. In this presentation, our goal is to derive successful clinical trials by sharing the accumulated know-how with all of you.
